What the scheme gives

The Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana (MMGAY) allots free residential plots to poor rural families who own no house or land: 100 square yards in normal villages and 50 square yards in Mahagram (large) panchayats. Thousands of allotment letters have already been issued in the first phase across districts including Bhiwani, Hisar, Jhajjar, Gurugram and Fatehabad, and fresh registration windows open on the portal for the next phases.

Getting the plot is step one — eligible families can then take PM Awas Yojana (Gramin) construction assistance (₹1.20 lakh in plain areas, more in notified areas) to build on it.

Eligibility

  • Family lives in rural Haryana and has a verified BPL income in the Parivar Pehchan Patra
  • No family member owns a house or residential plot anywhere in Haryana
  • Priority categories per the rules: SC/BC families, widows, and families displaced from earlier schemes
  • Valid Family ID; Aadhaar for each adult member

How to register

  • Go to hfa.haryana.gov.in and open the Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana section.
  • Click Apply Now / Registration and sign in with your Family ID; OTP comes to the PPP mobile.
  • Fill the village, current living arrangement and category details; upload documents if asked.
  • Submit and save the application number — allotment lists are published village-wise on the same portal.

Watch out for

Registration windows open and close — if the portal says registration is closed, the next phase's window is announced on the same site, so check back or ask a NeedUp operator to watch it for you. And beware of anyone charging money to "guarantee" a plot: allotment is by the department's eligibility list only.
