What the scheme bundles

PM Vishwakarma supports traditional artisans and craftspeople end-to-end: recognition (PM Vishwakarma certificate and ID card), skill training with a ₹500 per day stipend, a ₹15,000 toolkit e-voucher after the basic training, collateral-free enterprise loans — ₹1 lakh (repayable in 18 months) and then ₹2 lakh (30 months) — at a concessional 5% interest, plus incentives for digital transactions and marketing support.

Eligibility

  • Working in one of the 18 listed family-based trades, self-employed (not under government/formal employment)
  • Age 18 or above on registration date
  • Has not taken a PMEGP / PM SVANidhi / Mudra loan in the last 5 years (for the loan component)
  • One member per family; government employees and their family members are excluded

How to register

  • Registration happens through CSCs on pmvishwakarma.gov.in — biometric Aadhaar verification is required, so it cannot be finished purely from home.
  • Needed: Aadhaar, mobile number, bank account, ration card (family verification).
  • After registration comes three-step verification (gram panchayat/ULB → district → screening committee), then the training call letter.
